An emphasis is on the hands-on approach, where students learn by doing and results in an authentic research experience. The degree prepares students for scientific careers, graduate studies or professional programs. The degree is approved by the American Chemical Society and ideal for students who desire an advanced degree (M.S., Ph.D.) in chemistry.
