MATH 530 - Probability and Statistical Inference (6) Fundamentals of probability theory, including random variables, joint and conditional distributions, expected values, major probability limit theorems, and some well-known distributions. Maximum likelihood, method of moments, sufficiency, Bayesian estimation, properties of estimators, confidence and credible intervals, and hypothesis testing.
Prerequisite: MATH 335 .
